MINUTES

The last meeting was held January 5th (2011) at the Redmond-Potter Gym.  Bob Ludwig came to the meeting and said he has been doing the picture boards for 30 years and it's time for him to give it to someone else.  He stated that he would make 10 new boards but would like some help making them and getting the pictures up.  Mike Thalen offered to help with that project as did Brad Young.

The AD is asking for help in purchasing new girls basketball uniforms, the ones they have are very tattered and the budget is not allowing the AD to make that purchase.  A motion was made and carried after a vote to purchase the uniforms.

Discussion about turf and asking the School Board to allow us to take this task to the voters.  A Bond Proposal is now in the discussion, and possibly the next move if given approval.  Fund raising has been very slow and will take 20 plus yrs at the pace that donations are coming in.  The School Board will vote on this issue Tuesday, January 25th at 7:00 p.m.

The foundation received a very generous donation from the estate of Howard DeYoung.  Mr. DeYoung is a graduate of MHS and had little family at the time of death, we're thankful that he thought of the Foundation.

Next meeting is schedule for April 13th, 6:30 pm. Redmond-Potter Gym.
